Band Entertainment for 2009

LEAHYS LUCK

will be back again in 2009.  They have been performing Irish folk music for twelve years with four recordings to their credit and a Wisconsin Area Music Industry's 2001 World/Ethnic Group of the Year.  In years past they've played at the Quad Cities Irish Festival, Peoria's Erin Feis, Chicago's Gaelic Park, Cleveland's Irish Festival, and performed at many other festivals, concerts, and gatherings throughout the Midwest. Currently,  the band consists of  Brian and Tom Leahy who continue to lead the band with guitars, bass, and distinctive vocals; Evan Leahy, Tom’s son, a world-class Irish drummer; Randall Harrison on fiddle;  and Stas Venglevski an award winning accordianist.

In everything Irish is the love of life, and Leahys Luck manages to convey this spirit in their music.

STEPHEN'S GREEN returns to the Quad Cities Irish Festival after several years, but they are no strangers to the Quad Cities.  This outstanding duo of Dublin natives Andy O’Driscoll and Martin Doyle, have performed at many festivals, fairs and concerts throughout the US and Europe, bringing their unique talents to a wide audience of enthusiasts.

Having performed at many Irish events over the years, Stephen’s Green have shared the stage with such greats as The Wolfe Tones, Dublin City Ramblers, Paddy Reilly, Tommy Makem, Tommy Sweeney, George Casey, Liam Clancy, Hal Roach, Finbar Furey, Danny Doyle, the Whole Shebang, and many more. Due to their immense popularity, Andy and Martin have become a fixture on the Cruise of Irish Stars for the last ten years.  They will appear on March 10 and May 26 at Kilkenny's in Davenport.

Exceptional repertoire, outstanding vocal and musical abilities, combined with an engaging stage presence, not to mention vast experience in all things Irish make these two proud Irish men ideal for any festival, concert, fair, or Irish event.
