www.st-patricks-day.com
- This is an outstanding web site with links to various associations, genealogy,
Irish travel, Irish pubs, and much more.
- Leahys
Luck
- Very popular with rave reviews and they often appear at our
QUAD CITIES IRISH FESTIVAL.
Go to their site and you can check out their schedule of appearances.
Their appearances are mostly in Wisconsin which is not far
away from here.
- Cherish
the Ladies - A wonderful
group and so very entertaining to watch. They are absolutely outstanding
in their fiddle and tin whistle playing.
- Donnybrook
- An excellent Irish band that has appeared a couple of times at QUAD CITIES IRISH FESTIVAL. They play traditional celtic music with a wide range of instrumentation:
whistle, pipes, fiddle, banjo, bouzouki, mandolin, bodhran and guitar.
-
Gaelic
Storm
- A band that appears at the Milwaukee Irish Fest.
Recently they appeared here in the Quad Cities at RIBCO in Rock Island
, IL. Lots of drums, great fiddle playing, and the leader is absolutely
hilarious in his comedy routines! Of all the bands that have played
the song "Finnegan's Wake", Gaelic Storm tops all of them in
their rendition!
- Gan
Bua - Gan Bua
is a traditional Irish music group that have
made a strong impact in the Irish music scene. Coming from different
places and backgrounds, each member brings the perfect ingredient to
create a powerful and cohesive musical display. Gan Bua's lovely blend
of stimulating instrumentals and spellbinding songs leaves audiences
wanting more. Their recent album, Gan Bua "Live at
Martyr's," showcases the unmistakable and infectious
energy present at every performance. By the way, the name means
'without talent', which is mostcertainly a misnomer. They were
well received at QUAD CITIES IRISH FESTIVAL 2006.
- Wylde
Nept - A lively Irish Band from Cedar Rapids,
Iowa that has appeared at QUAD CITIES IRISH FESTIVAL a couple of times. If you want to have some fun entertainment along with very
good Irish and Celtic Music, you have got to see them. They appear
all over the Midwest and have many followers. They have a nice web site
too.
- Stephens
Green - A local favorite, Stephen’s
Green provides
an outstanding array of haunting ballads, rollicking jigs and reels
and hand-clapping sing along favorites, as well as first-rate original
compositions. Martin Doyle and Andy O'Driscoll, both
natives of Dublin, by chance combined their outstanding musical
talents several years ago. They have since firmly
established themselves on the Irish music scene in the United States,
performing in Irish venues across the country where they are acclaimed
as one of the hottest Irish duos on the circuit. They have
appeared at QUAD CITIES IRISH FESTIVAL a number of times as well as performing 10 of 12
months at Pat McGuires Irish American Grill in Davenport.
- Bogside
Zukes - a good celetic band from Peoria, IL that has appeared at QUAD CITIES IRISH FESTIVAL.
